My senior project consists of learning to code Javascript, HTML, and CSS in order to make an app for both Android and Apple through which users can easy find and donate to NGOs located in Ecuador.

Apart from creating the app, my service would include three components: collecting donations using he app, working together with one of the foundations, Ninos Con Futuro, and volunteering there, and lastly teaching what I learned to other students.

The pictures to the right are the initial designs I had made before having completed the course of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.

Once I had finished the courses that I took with Codecademy and W3schools for all the three languages, I managed to design an app with the basic structure of each page using the program Visual Studio.
The Home page took the longest to make as I was undecided on the design o the page since presentation is one of the most crucial aspects of the app. Once I got the hang of coding the rest of the pages seemed easy to make.
Nearing the end of my project, once I had the list of NGOs that would be included in my project I decided to remodel the design of the app since I felt the appearance could be improved.
The final version of the app now includes 15 NGOs you can find and donate to as well as a safe way to donate to these foundations using PayPal and a registration process users need to follow in order to reach the donation portion of the app.

For the future, there are two improvements the app could have which were not a part of the original purpose of the app. The first step would be improving the profile portion of the app which only displays the E-mail of users and lastly adding different way to donate since most NGOs don't have Paypal donations.
